Mike Kryza joined U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners (USRBP) in May 2024 as Chief Corporate Development Officer. He leads USRPB’s M&A strategy, pipeline development, due diligence, assessment, negotiations, and completion of transactions. His primary focus is developing meaningful relationships with retirement and employee benefit solutions companies nationwide and helping them maximize value and growth through partnerships with USRBP.
Prior to USRBP, Mike was the Head of Corporate Development at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, where he was responsible for M&A, corporate venture capital and enterprise relationships. While with Guardian, Mike completed over 15 M&A transactions representing more than $8 billion and invested in and managed a venture portfolio of over 25 companies.
Prior to Guardian, Mike was Executive Vice President, Corporate Development at Crump Group, one of the largest life and P&C insurance distributors in the United States. He served on the company’s Executive Committee, helped determine overall corporate strategy, developed business plans, and led the sourcing, analysis, and implementation of acquisitions and strategic alternatives for the firm.
Mike’s experience also includes leadership positions within a financial technology start-up organization and other financial services companies.
Mike is a Chartered Financial Analyst and received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Northwestern University.
