David Martell joined U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners (USRBP) in October 2023 in a strategic consulting capacity, in which he supports various USRBP initiatives in collaboration with various Partner Firms.
For over four decades, David has worked in various areas of education. His previous roles included auditing public schools as a Certified Public Accountant, Analyst and Manager for Michigan State University, Director of Finance for Haslett Public Schools, and most recently served as Executive Director of the Michigan School Business Officials from 2009-2023, where he was a member of the ASBO International Affiliate Executive Director Group.
He is a former board member of various organizations, including the Michigan School Business Officials, Michigan Liquid Asset Fund+, MASB-SEG Property/Casualty Pool, Education Alliance of Michigan, Michigan Institute of Educational Management, Michigan Education Leadership Group, Haslett Public Schools Board of Education, and the Michigan School Investment Association.
David was presented the Association Executive of the Year Award by the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) during their 2022 Diamond Awards ceremony.
David is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
