U.S. Employee Benefits Services Group (USEBSG), a division of U.S. Retirement Partners, announced a new program that will assist employees with important decisions as they retire or separate from employment. STEP (Solutions for Transitioning Employees Program) provides one-on-one support to help ease their transition and fully explain all of their benefit and retirement planning options.

The Program will be introduced initially in Texas, and can be added to any Employer Benefit Plan for no cost. Employees will receive specific information about their retirement system options, Social Security, health insurance, and other employee benefits.

For employees who are not retiring, USEBSG’s exclusive InRoll online benefits system triggers a communication that will help guide them through the termination process. Required notices and “what happens next” emails will inform them about their COBRA options and other important decisions that must be made. In addition, they can utilize a toll-free telephone number for immediate answers to any questions that they may have.

Retiring employees will receive similar information and services, and additionally, they will have access to free consultations with dedicated, highly-trained retirement planning and benefits specialists. During these consultations, they will receive an overview of their options, their choices for converting benefits, an analysis to determine gaps in coverage, and retirement planning assistance.

“STEP is a unique resource that adds value to any Employer Benefit Plan at no additional cost,” said Gene Tyler, President of United Specialty Benefits, a USEBSG Partner Firm. He continued, “We are pleased to be introducing it here in Texas.”
