Robert McLean was named President and Chief Executive Officer of OMNI in January 2016, and is a Managing Partner of OMNI’s parent company, U.S. Employee Benefits Services Group.
Mr. McLean joined OMNI in 2008 as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, and was promoted to Vice President in June 2014, while also continuing his prior roles. In these positions, he was instrumental in developing 403(b) plan documents, created OMNI’s Preferred Provider Program (P3), and managed OMNI’s compliance department staff. He also works closely with clients, teachers’ unions, and attorneys to help draft school district policies and agreements that incorporate deferred compensation plans. Rob is a key participant in the 403(b) industry, speaking at conferences such as ASBO International and NTSA.
Prior to OMNI, Mr. McLean practiced law at a Rochester, NY law firm handling litigation matters in federal and state courts. Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Boston College and a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law. During law school, he appeared in the United States Tax Court and clerked for the Villanova Graduate Tax program. He is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Massachusetts, and has been highly involved on boards of various not-for-profit organizations in the Rochester community.
