Ian O’Casey joined U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners in August 2023 as Vice President, Software Engineering reporting to Kevin Dunn, CIO/CISO. In his role Ian is responsible for working with Partners, third parties and the executive leadership team to drive technology initiatives for Digital transformation, Reporting, Cloud enablement, AI and web development.

After graduating with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from UCD, Ian joined one of the first GE Centers of Excellence outside of the US in Dublin, Ireland. During the next six years Ian gained extensive global experience and benefited hugely from GE’s executive management program. After that Ian tested out his entrepreneurial abilities working for two startups in Dublin, one focused on Transportation, another on CRM tools, leading a European rollout for IBM.

Ian moved with his family to the US and joined American Airlines, developing some of their first distributed client server applications and saving $30M annually from a Workers Comp system that was still in operation 20 years later. Ian moved to KMPG where, as Snr. Director, he led the Southwest eBusiness Practice and had success in large scale Digital transformations in Houston, Nashville, and Ireland. Ian returned to more entrepreneurial roles including CTO of a Financial Services Product company but also leading development for a subsidiary of Aon Insurance. Ian joined GameStop as it was growing rapidly and built their International Supply Chain technology, rolling out their ERP across 20 time zones, establishing a global Support Center in Dublin and a Development center in the US. Ian then stepped back into the entrepreneurial space leading an ERP implementation practice targeting small and medium sized businesses in the US.

Ian works with a small group of students at UNT each year and enjoys developing the next generation of Technology leaders.
