Iselin, NJ, August 4, 2022 —U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners (USRBP) announced today that their Private Equity sponsor, Kohlberg & Company, invited Megan Schneider, USRBP President, to speak at their summer Women of Kohlberg luncheon, part of Kohlberg’s Women’s Leadership Program, which is an initiative to support women in private equity as they build diversity within the organization.  The event included 30 participants and was held at the Crabtree Kittle House in Mount Kisco, NY.

USRBP has been recognized for its efforts around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, particularly with the appointment of their first female president, Meg Schneider, in 2021. Kristie Kalenka, Vice President at Kohlberg & Company, introduced Meg as a recognized leader within the Kohlberg portfolio, who has had significant impact at USRBP since joining in 2019.  Kristie commented that Meg is an inspiration to many of the women at Kohlberg, who have had a chance to watch her be a successful leader delivering results, while balancing the demands of her family.

In a fireside chat setting, Meg shared with the audience her path to building a successful career, the challenges she faced as a female, what went well and what didn’t.  She also shared how she balances the day to day of being a working Mom with a high-powered career and two young children.  The audience enjoyed hearing Meg’s story, her tips for building a successful career and her openness and candor to inspire other women through her own successes and difficult challenges.

Meg left the audience with a strong recommendation to build a network of supporters, both men and women, who value your contributions across all levels of the enterprise and will help lift you up to your next career challenge.  The power of advocacy is key to a winning career.
