Thell Williams began his career in the financial services industry in 1972 with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. He started as a campus appointee while attending the University of Hawaii. After graduating with a Bachelor of Business degree in 1974, he transferred from the Honolulu Agency to the Salt Lake City Agency as a full-time agent with Connecticut Mutual Life.
Mr. Williams received the Charter Life Underwriter designation in 1979. He began working in the education marketplace specializing in financial and retirement planning for educators in the late 1970s.
In 1992 Mr. Williams and his family moved to Texas for a greater opportunity to continue working with public school employees and their retirement planning needs. Over the years he has had the opportunity to help many educators build and realize their financial dreams, and has also helped train advisors to build successful practices.
In 2007 he formed a partnership with his oldest son to continue working with public school employees. Together they joined Advanced Financial Strategies in Waco, Texas and have enjoyed working with educators in many districts throughout the state of Texas.
Mr. Williams lives in the Austin area with his wife, and is very active in his church working in leadership roles for over 20 years.
